USC Division of Law Enforcement & Safety

The Division of Law Enforcement and Safety is a collection of specialized professionals that work together and independently protect the students, faculty, staff, visitors, and property of the University of South Carolina. This tall order is accomplished by multiple departments; Law Enforcement, Environmental Health and Safety, Risk Management, and Compliance and Professional Standards. From responding to reports of crime to containing a chemical spill, the Division of Law Enforcement and Safety is devoted to upholding their core values of human life, integrity, excellence, and accountability.

Developed by Elephant Ear Design in collaboration with ADCO, USC’s Division of Law Enforcement and Safety mobile responsive website manages a large amount of information while keeping a streamlined and efficient design that makes navigation a smooth experience. Front and center on the home page is a rotating feature box, highlighting important functions within the site that are clickable link.

A wide variety of important resources regarding campus safety and law enforcement are visible and accessible from the homepage, and with a few clicks potentially lifesaving information can be retrieved on topics ranging from dating violence to moped safety. Crime victims can request copies of incident reports through the website, leaving their requested method of contact. Live feeds for the Police Department’s Facebook and Twitter can be found at the bottom of the homepage, along with the Carolina Alert Twitter that keeps visitors up to date on any ongoing emergency situations or updated Crime Bulletins.
