Todd & Moore
For over 70 years, Todd and Moore has proudly been Columbia’s local, friendly, small sporting goods store. The original store opened on Main Street in 1944, and is currently located on Huger. Although the prices are great, and off season equipment is always in stock, it’s the unbeatable customer service and hometown atmosphere that keep people coming back. The staff at Todd and Moore are devoted to lending their expertise to visitors, whether it’s helping select the right tennis racquet or find the perfect pair of running shoes. They gladly talk game day, glove conditioning, or share football gossip while providing the personalized experience that is lacking in today’s retail environment. Todd and Moore provides services above and beyond most big box sporting goods stores, including custom tennis racquet stringing, glove steaming, proper gear fitting, custom screen printing, and embroidering. In addition to already low prices, shoppers can find incredible deals with Todd and Moore’s weekly specials.
Along with partner ADCO, Elephant Ear Design created a 21st century website and rebrand for the iconic Todd and Moore. Located on the website header, the original logo gives nod to the store’s heritage. Just below the header on the homepage is a slider featuring seasonal items and promotions with clickable links. Accent colors for side menu items keep pages visually engaging, while ample white space allows copy to be read easily. A simple, horizontal main navigation bar makes maneuvering the site a breeze. Social media icons located in the header and footer encourage site visitors to stay connected with Todd and Moore through Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Brightly colored and easily visible vertical menu items feature seasonal sports and weekly specials. Pages and menu icons for sports can be rotated out on the back end of the site by the owners, which can be accomplished with minimal skill and training. The bottom of each page features a link to Todd and Moore’s most recent blog post, embedded video from their Vimeo channel, and a Google map to the store’s location.
